About the MOS

The website was designed for the members of the Manasota Optometric Society. We are an organization of Optometric Physicians dedicated to the ocular health of our patients and the advancement of the optometric profession. If you are an optometrist in the Bradenton Sarasota area and are not a member, please contact us at manasotaods@gmail.com. We would be delighted to discuss the benefits of becoming a MOS and Florida Optometric Association member.

Recent Updates

NEW: Electronic Prescribing Requirements: House Bill 831 (2019), Electronic Prescribing, was signed into law by Governor DeSantis. The effective date is January 1, 2020. The bill provides important new requirements for prescribers to generate and transmit all prescriptions electronically upon licensure renewal or by July 1, 2021, whichever is earlier.
