About the MOS

The website was designed for the members of the Manasota Optometric Society. We are an organization of Optometric Physicians dedicated to the ocular health of our patients and the advancement of the optometric profession. If you are an optometric in the Bradenton Sarasota area and are not a member, please contact us at manasotaods@gmail.com. We would be delighted to discuss the benefits of becoming a MOS and Florida Optometric Association member.

Recent Updates

During the February 8, 2019 Board of Optometry meeting, the board approved Inveltys (loteprednol etabonate ophthalmic suspension) 1% for addition to Rule 64B13-18.002, F.A.C. Formulary of Topical Ocular Pharmaceutical Agents.

At this time, Inveltys cannot be prescribed by certified Optometrists in Florida until the rule has been approved.

Effective January 25, 2019, Licensees are permitted to prescribe Rhopressa and Cequa.
